Very sad.......Girls nowadays......

Lately, there are many cases of teengae getting pregnant while still schooling. Most of the time, their partners are either their school mates, or someone they met on the internet.

Are girls nowadays getting stupider or wat?

Why didn't we encounter such cases in our batch?

Is it because teenagers nowadays are exposed to the internet so they think they know alot, much more than adults now? Or because more parents are working now, hence neglecting their kids at home, therefore they become stupider?

It is very , very sad.

At the stage of puberty, it is a time where they need 'crucial' care and concern.

Parents tend to think that: ' Oh, they are 14 yrs now, quite grown up already. Shouldn't care abt them that much now.' Hence they left their kids alone. It is when trouble comes that they realized it is a mistake!

In the past, parents teach by leading an example, meaning housewives who look after the children at home. With someone at home, there is less chance that the kids is led astray.

Now. the parents are not at home most of the time, who to educate them?

Teenagers by all means, are still children. They still need someone to educate them, though not as much control as before.

Haiz.......................why are girls so stupid nowadays? Is there any sensible ones around?

Any comments from you guys?

  • haha...i tink my batch got (u noe rite wat sec sch i from, sure will haf one..lolx) is just that i hear from my frens wan, last time i too 'guai' to notice such thing myself and by the time i wan noe who issit, the senior already drop out of sch..haha..

i dun tink they are stupid..actually i tink they understand all these even beta and earlier than us consider how much we have been exposed to outside world rite now esp almost everyone can access to internet..i tink is just that they are curious and didn't tink too much abt the consequences after doing it..

moreover, like u say, nowadays parents hardly care for teenagers and always so engrossed with their work..but if they care too much, many teenagers will tink their parents are nagging too much...so i tink tats the contradicting part..

  • The first thing that comes to my mind after reading this post:

    " 一失足成千古恨 "

I agree with Shiya that these girls are the more curious ones. In fact they are not stupid. I think they did what they did in a moment of folly..and that results in serious consequences.

Regarding the issue on girls being raped by stangers whom they met on the net, it is debatable.

" Should the media be blamed for allowing these to happen?"

Today in my Intro To E-commerce lecture, my lecturer discussed the topic pertaining to public safety and welfare issues on the Internet.

5 girls were lured into sex traps by predators on MySpace. Because of this, MySpace was being sued for negligence, recklessness for allowing the tragedy to happen.

So, who do you think is responsible?

I feel that internet safety is a shared responsibility. One should not blame the media entirely. The users themselves should also be responsible for their own actions by applying some common sense about offline safety.

Thus, when I read news of girls being raped by guys whom they met on the net, I don't feel sorry for them at all. They should be old enough to differentiate right from wrong.
