Finally.........I've stayed throughout this semester.....

Muahahahaha...........I've finally managed to stay until this semester ends!

Looking back, I have to say I can't believed I actually survived for abt 2 mths. It was unbelievable.

Right now, it's their school holidays. Dun think we teachers also no need to go to school. We still have to. There's meetings to attend everyday for the first week. Then after that, it's hols for us! Think may be going overseas for a short break.

Right now, I'm teaching the lower primary. I'm starting to get the hang of it but haiz..........cos my colleagues were saying that it's the tough part when comes to teaching the upper primary. Cos' their starting to not to listen to you anymore., Have to use other methods to manage them. They say, if you find the P1 & P2s hard to manage, then it's gonecase for you at upper pri. Cos the P1 & P2 are the easiest to handle. Haiz...............there are times when I feel I can't handle the lower pri leh. How?

I'm still waiting for NIE letter. Other teachers have already gotten theirs and are waiting for enrollment this July. Another teacher who came in the same time as me also have not received his letter, but I think mine will be affected cos I failed my Eng oral, whereas he has passed his. Haiz.................

Just last fri, I've had the urge to scream & slap the children because my limits with them is already stretched! Haiz................

Anyway, I hope all of you have passed your exams. Hope to hear abt your results.

Ros, how's your application to NIE? Haven't heard from you a while. HOpe everything's going fine for you.

My Job Update

Hi All,

I shall update you all with what I've done this week..

I tried to make public annoucement via the system..then can hear my voice. So paiseh. Then they all say my voice very loud they got a shock! hahaha..This shows that I am very rough. But the annoucement like Shopping Centre..got a jingle at the start..hahaha.

Then I also did eye test for the candidates that came for interview. The test is to check for colour blindness, astigmatism..etc. Quite fun because like working in the optical shop. Using the same machine to check for degree.

As for people calling in for their calls to be transferred..I am still very slow lah..cos got 700 over employees. I said the phone is not very clear. So i always got problem hearing the PROPER names. haha..There were a few occasions, the caller just hang up. Shows that I am very slow. But I dont care. hahah.

Other than that, I am not doing anything. Cos very free leh..haha..I am watching people enter the company and leaving the company. Then 80% of the time is chit chatting with HR uncles and aunties.

ok ok, its my turn to update.... =)

Hi guys, it seem ages since i update in this blog..i'm now taking a risk blogging in the office, hopefully won't get caught..lolx..this is already my third week working in my current company..and yup mildred is right, i've been busy attending friends 21st birthday parties and preparing their presents..last week is really killing me..

anyway to start off, i would list down my likes and dislikes regarding my temp job..

here it goes:

DISLIKES

1. sitting right in front of manager office meaning whatever i do, she can see!! eek!! can't surf web, msn all...aargh..
2. a manager who never talks to me before..except for once which is on my first day of work, a soft hello..and she always call for my colleagues to help her do things and is damn annoying!! (wonder why ahe can't do it by herself and if my colleagues are being annoyed by her too)
3. nothing to do most of the time which is going to bore me to death!! i always almost doze off, hopefully none of my colleages saw me dozing off..

LIKES

1. my colleagues are very nice and friendly people..but i still very shy in the office..wahaha...
2. the canteen food here is very very nice and cheap...lolx
3. pantry alot of food (biscuits, chocolate drinks, milo, tea, cereal etc..) heehee..

well, tats all abt me in my temp job (nothing much and hope it dun bore u guys..haha)...and as compared to working in my prev company, i prefer there as well as the pple there...

and Caizhuang: wah, u are seeking bf here ar..hehe....hopefully both of us can find someone we like soon...haha..

Not going to be jobless within the next month

Referring to my previous post " Updates, updates and updates", I mentioned that I might be out of job because my contract is ending soon. However, my manager extended my contract till the end of June. So still have chance to earn $$$..hahha..

Oh ya, I learnt something.

Shiya: I think we should not "pester" them to give us jobs liao. haha.. Today I told the manager,

"I've got nothing to do, pleeeeeeeeease give me something to do..."

Immediately, she replied,

" I WILL have things for you to do.."

With that, she placed a super thick arch file on my desk....!!!!!!!

Why must I 'gey kiang' and 自讨苦吃！

So the moral of the story is : Pretend to be busy. (for lazy ppl like me, wahaha)

Results will be released soooooon.

I think this job is a GONER

Hi Friends,

My part time job didnt have a good start. First day of work, I had to leave earlier at 3pm. Because I was very giddy then I couldn't process what the receptionist was teaching me. When I told the HR Mgr to let me off early, his face changed to be rather unpleased, and even asked me to stay 1/2 hr more. I said ok. But the receptionist called him and asked if I could leave now.

Then I went to c the Doc, I had High Fever. I didn't take MC because I thought mine was only a temp. job, it makes no diffence whether I got MC or not. But today (tue), I didnt go to work because I was still very sick. Then I called up the office, the person asked ;" Did you take a MC?" I said " I rejected the Doc's offer when he wanted to give." Now I think back, I think should take MC right? Cos it's a proof that I was sick. Haiz, I am so stupid.

But nonetheless, tomorrow I must return to work already. I think they start to hate me already. Think that I am finding excuse to 'escape work'. Esp. the manager. I think he sure dislike me now. Cos during the interview, he already said the receptionist cannot be absent. The first two days I was already like that.

To me, now I am testing my luck to see when I will be asked to leave. Cos I also dont like the job,the phone reception very lousy one. Cant even hear what the person on the other line is talking. haha. How to transfer the calls? haha. I dont want to stress myself over this job. ( gg to anyhow do). haha!

* But the people there are nice and friendly. But it's only a start,not sure if their "nice-ness" can last till the day I leave.*

Updates, updates and updates

No doubt the number of people who turned up for the dinner was 寥寥无几 ( Very few people), but I enjoyed myself very much. Glad that both Mildred and Kian Ann also enjoyed the gathering.

Hey Mildred, hope you won't be discouraged by the fact that you've been treated badly during work, coz not all companies are like that. Maybe the company you'll be reporting to tomorrow has lots of friendly and nice colleagues like Sanden's? Update us on your job k! Best of luck!

As for me, I'll be jobless soon, coz I am getting less busy day by day, sometimes I even have to 'beg' them to assign me work and to pretend to be doing something when I have nothing to do..plus my employment contract is ending on 1st June. Good also lah, coz I can finally rest and slack. But the bad thing is, my salary is so little..hahaa..and my rate of spending $$ is faster than the rate of earning. I'll be looking for a temp job again lor, hopefully my new working place will be at Raffles Place!! (if i ever get a next job) Hahaa!!

Yo people,

hahahah..thanks for being concern abt me. Very sorry that I can't make it yesterday.

You know what, I went to see the doc again today, cos the antibiotics the doc gave me wasn't effective enough. IN the end, I got 2 days MC!!! Hahaha............cos given my condition, I can't raise my voice to a class of 30 students. I'll be dumb.

Anyway, actually I'm kind of disappointed that I actually failed my Eng oral. >_<

I kind of like this job now, though there are times when I want to scream and slap the kids!

This job is totally different from my previous jobs. I like the work scope. And I was kind of sad that I've MC for 2 days.

Since I've failed my oral, this will affect my this yr NIE enrollment. Haiz..........My other colleagues have already received letters from NIE that they are to report to school in JUly. All except me. Haiz.......... think I'd be stuck in school till next yr July.

Btw, MOE have changed my specialization. I'll be taking Maths and Science, instead of the initial Eng & Maths. I've no problems with that, cos it'll be easier than teaching Eng.

Hopefully, I can recover faster. Just now, my nose even bled! Haiz.......

Hope that before your term starts, we could have another outing again.

19 May 2007's Outing

This is the place where we had our dinner on Saturday, 19 May 2007. Who turned up? Only Wenxiu, Kian Ann and Myself (Mildred). We experienced 'dinosaur vibration' at the orchard station. Haha. Then we wanted to shop around but all the shops closed at 9.30pm. So after dinner we had to go home. Besides, Kian Ann seemed soooo tired. hehe.

Caizhuang couldn't make it the last minute as she was not feeling well. . So, Caizhuang are u sad that you didnt clear the English Proficiency Test? If you are not keen to be a teacher, I guess this test is not important to you right? Please update us on your decision.

Next is Shiya, how is your work coming along? Update us about your job. You cannot make for this gathering because you had a friend's birthday party to attend ah? You really have alot of friends leh.. This whole year have been hearing you are attending this person and that person's party. -haha-

Linah, how was your Saturday? Did you think about us? hehe. Update us more about your happenings.

Wenxiu, so u should be very happy cos your job is ending real soon. You can finally rest and wake up late already. hehe. Update us if you got a new job!

Kian Ann is still the same as ever. Quiet and Guai. hehe. Do update us about your camp happenings! hehe.

Myself: I will start work on Monday at SBS Transit at Seng Kang. I will be a temp receptionist. I have a phobia now. Bcos I took up a one -day assignment last tue. It was disastrous!! The people there were so UNFRIENDLY. A particular woman had very bad attitude and scolded me for transfering the calls to her and for asking her questions. She SLAMMED the phone down at me.

Haiz.. In the end ,the supervisor apologised to me and said the woman always throw tantrum. Hope I dont take it to heart. So now, I dont know if I will get the same treatment at the upcoming company on Monday. Hope it will be better! hehe. I will update you all soon!
